Betty Onolee Loveland Murphy, formerly of 35 Regent St., Jamestown, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Friday (December 7, 2012) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 20, 1924, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late William and Onolee Brainard Loveland.
Betty spent most of her adult life in the New York City area and moved back to Jamestown in 1988, where she worked for the former Quality Markets and was a demonstration clerk for Sam's Club. In earlier years she had worked for the Crescent Tool Company and the Weber-Knapp Company.
She was a member of the Christ First United Methodist Church in Jamestown.
Surviving are a daughter Polly Ann Murray of Jamestown, three grandsons: Ronald W. Scolton of Warren, Pa., John W. Murray and Daniel W. Murray, both of Jamestown, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death a daughter, Sandra Lee Kennelley.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
