Fredonia Doctor Receives Degree

Audrey J. Buck of Fredonia recently received her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy-Hand Therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions of Provo, Utah.

Dr. Buck is the owner and president of Occupational Therapy and Hand Rehabilitation Services PC., which has offices in Dunkirk and Jamestown. Dr. Buck is a certified hand therapist and has been practicing upper extremity rehabilitation for more than 30 years. As part of her doctoral studies, Dr. Buck conducted research involving current methods of surgical and therapeutic treatment of shoulder, elbow, and wrist injuries, as well as arthritic conditions affecting the hand.

Her studies also included evidence based approaches in the treatment of children in early intervention and school based settings and the aged in rehabilitation settings.

Dr. Buck and her staff provide rehabilitation approaches which are based on current research by initiating "evidence at the point of care" to insure patients are receiving the most up-to-date methods of treatment. Dr. Buck lives in Fredonia with her husband, Edward. They have four children.
