One Charged, Three More Sought For Home Invasion

CONEWANGO - New York State Police at Jamestown have taken one man into custody and are seeking information about three more in connection with a Conewango home invasion.

Police have charged Anthony J. Eames, 26, of Elmira and Erin, with first-degree robbery following an investigation into a home invasion that occurred Nov. 23 around 1 a.m. The victim said four males entered his home, assaulted him and stole three rifles, a shotgun and a cellphone.

The other three subjects, believed to be from the Elmira area, are described as a black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds with a large build and dreadlock-style hair about 6 inches in length; a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds with a medium build; and a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds with a thin build.

State police at Jamestown are being assisted by state police at Horseheads and the Elmira Police Department in the investigation.
