Tommy Fales gained the shutout in goal as Jamestown improved to 5-4 in the Large School Division of the Western New York League on Friday night at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.
Fales was flawless for Jamestown as it rolled to a 10-0 win over Akron.
The Raiders scored two goals in the first period. Dylan Bergman tallied first from in front and was set up by Collin Abbott and Justin Andriaccio.
Andriaccio made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal three minutes later on a breakaway.
Michael Mammoser recorded his first varsity goal in the second stanza assisted by Abbott and Andriaccio. The Raiders added four more goals by Mammoser, Abbott, Bryce Raymond and Bill Krywy to make the score 7-0 after two stanzas.
The third period barrage continued as three more Jamestown goals were tallied. Abbott, Raymond and Bergman had the goals.
Andriaccio came up with four assists, his brother Jake Andriaccio and Bergman with two each and Rick Hasselman, Erik Daughharty and Abbott one each in second and third periods.
Fales had his as Jamestown posted a 3-0 shutout over Alden in the Large School Division of the Western New York Hockey League.
After a scoreless first stanza, Abbott scored from Dylan Ferrara for a 1-0 Jamestown lead.
In the final period, Ferrara scored off an assist by Anthony Tomassi and Krywy from Jacob Andriaccio.
Jamestown had recorded two recent Lake Shore League losses by dropping a 5-2 decision to Fort LeBouef in Erie and a 7-3 verdict to host Meadville.
Bergman and Raymond scored for Jamestown against Fort LeBoeuf with assists to Justin Andriaccio and Ferrara.
The Raiders led 1-0, after the first period but Fort LeBouef tallied three times in the second to grab a 3-2 edge.
Abbott gave Jamestown a 1-0 edge in the first period against Meadville. Krywy gained the assist.
In the second period, Meadville went on a 5-1 tear to take a 5-2 lead. Gibson Stuart scored a powerplay goal with an assist to Abbott.
Another powerplay goal by Krywy on assists from Stuart and Abbott accounted for Jamestown goal in the third.
