The town of Poland seniors will meet for a catered Christmas dinner on Dec. 19. The cost is $7.50 for members and $9 for non-members. All are welcome to attend. Reservations are required; contact Shirley Covey at 720-9484. Bonnie Piazza, Carolyn Widmark and Rose Marie Cornell are the committee.
Forty-four seniors met in the Kennedy Fire Hall recently for a Thanksgiving dinner catered by 3C's Catering. Terry and Karen Lincoln, Cliff and Liz Barnes, and Shirley Schauers were the committee. Tables were called by Eva Baker, who also called the meeting to order with a flag salute and song, accompanied on piano by Lou Ball. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read.
A fundraiser was held, and a collection for St. Susan's was taken.
Celebrating birthdays were Helen Burch, Bev Littlefield and Betty Mead.
A musical program was presented by Doug Waterman and Nora Cole of the Backwoods Bluegrass Band.
