WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

WESTFIELD - Gage G. Foster, 22, of Cottage Street, Westfield was charged at 1:49 a.m. on Tuesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and inadequate head lights. Westfield police stopped a vehicle on Cottage Street for an equipment violation. Foster, the driver, was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

SALAMANCA - An 18-year-old youth was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and being illegally parked in a handicapped zone at 4:14 a.m. Nov. 29. The youth will be in Salamanca City Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

Three Jamestown residents were taken to the Jamestown City Jail after they were found by Jamestown police officers with outstanding arrest warrants. Anthony J. Snow, 28, had a bench warrant for failing to pay a fine for a conviction of third-degree facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation. Ronald E. Mitchell, 43, had an outstanding warrant for failure to pay a fine for his conviction of driving while impaired and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. David Torres, 36, had an outstanding warrant for failing to pay a fine for his conviction of petit larceny. All three were taken to the city jail and held on bail.

ELLICOTT POLICE

Sandra M. Oesch of 152 Bowen St., Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 3 p.m. Tuesday after Ellicott police officers responded to Kmart on Fairmount Avenue for a reported shoplifter. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jason M. Seekings, 25, of 1578 Cheneys Road, Ashville was charged on Wednesday with a bench warrant/failure to appear in the town of Busti Court on the original charges of driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding, and driving while intoxicated with a .08 percent blood alcohol content. He failed to appear on Nov. 7, was arraigned on Wednesday in the town of Busti and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail with $1,000 bail.

Stacy D. Thayer, 32, of 633 E. Second St,. Apt. 302, Jamestown was arraigned in Busti Town Court on Wednesday after a bench warrant was issued for failure to appear in court on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. She will be in court later.

Jessica Degroot, 18, of Cherry Creek and Kevin W. Arnold, 26, of Cherry Creek were both charged with petit larceny at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart. Officers were called for a report of a shoplifting in progress. When they arrived on scene, Wal-Mart staff told them there were three shoplifters in the store. The three subjects were confronted by officers, who took Degroot and Arnold into custody. The third subject ran and remains at large. Degroot and Arnold were issued appearance tickets to appear in Town of Busti Court at a later date. Charges are pending against the third individual.
