Arthur L. Benson, 80, of Covenant Manor, Jamestown, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2012), at his residence.
He was born in Jamestown on Jan. 12, 1932, the son of Walter D. and Martha E. Danielson Benson.
Art was employed at AMSCO for 23 years, and served with the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1952. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 2145.

He is survived by a daughter, Emily (Joseph) Koss, Lockport, N.Y.; three step-grandchildren: Joe and Matthew Koss, New York City and Aurora Koss, Lockport; a step-great- grandson, Tyler Koss, Lockport; and a brother, Paul G. Benson, Randolph, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lundberg Benson, whom he married Feb. 14, 1964, in Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, and who died on March 4, 1999.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services. The Rev. Donald Ray will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
