The Jamestown Concert Association will present Symphony Syracuse, which has become a popular Jamestown musical tradition celebrating the holiday season.
The orchestra's concert of Light Classics and Holiday Pops will be held in the Reg Lenna Civic Center, 16 E. Third St., at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Sean O'Loughlin will conduct the orchestra, which will feature seasonal classics, traditional carols and other popular favorites. O'Loughlin is a composer and arranger as well as a conductor and has led performances with many prestigious orchestras and symphonies across the country. Some of these include: Boston Pops Orchestra; Hollywood Bowl Orchestra; the Minnesota Orchestra; Vancouver Symphony; the Atlanta Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony; the Seattle Symphony and others. He was the conductor and arranger for the critically acclaimed symphony tour with Sarah McLachlan. He was also the assistant conductor and arranger for a production of Sgt. Pepper Live in Las Vegas featuring the band Cheap Trick.

Other recent collaborations of O'Loughlin include such artists as Adele, Hall and Oates, Gloria Estefan, Itzhak Perlman, Natalie Merchant, Blue Man Group, Martina McBride and others. His music is characterized by vibrant rhythms, passionate melodies and colorful scoring. Commissions from the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra highlight and showcase his diverse musical abilities. Symphony Syracuse is excited to offer the World Premiere of an original composition by O'Loughlin at this concert in Jamestown.
An annual ASCAP Special Awards winner, O'Loughlin was a composition fellow at the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles and holds composition degrees from New England Conservatory and Syracuse University.
Tickets for Wednesday's concert are available only at the Reg Lenna Box Office and at the door. Tickets will be $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $7.50 for college students. Students are admitted free with a paid adult ticket holder.
