Harold L. Atkins, 84, formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, W. Somerset, Ky.
He was the son of Preston and Alma Troutner Atkins, He attended school in Ludlow, Pa., and Jamestown, N.Y. He had formerly been employed by Boys Supper Market on East Second Street.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had been employed by Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
He is survived by his wife, Willena of W. Somerset, Ky.; a son, the Rev. David (Judy) Atkin of Linville, Ind; three brothers: Howard (Jackie) Atkins and William (Viola) Atkins, all of Jamestown, N.Y., and Larry (Emma) Atkins of Tipp City, Ohio; and a sister, Nancy Olson of Gastonia, N.C.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Services were held in W. Somerset, Ky.
