The STOP-DWI program is launching a new media campaign to help raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.
Sheriff Joe Gerace, Chautauqua County STOP-DWI coordinator, announced recently that Chautauqua County will be participating in a statewide media campaign to keep the issue at the forefront of the public's mind.
The STOP-DWI program is spearheaded by the NYS STOP-DWI Foundation Inc., through funding from the Governor's Highway Safety Committee. The campaign will include TV ad spots, radio PSAs, updated pamphlets and an updated website, which can be found at www.stopdwi.org.
"These public awareness and education materials will go a long way in helping with our traffic safety efforts and lifesaving mission," said Gerace. "This public awareness effort coincides with the STOP-DWI crackdown effort, which is a statewide DWI enforcement effort that targets key holidays throughout the year."
