The family of J. Norman and Violet Burke Herby will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Longtime Jamestown residents, Norm and Vi re-located to Minnesota in 2007 to be closer to their son, Paul and his family.
Vi passed away peaceful-ly in her sleep Oct. 16, 2012, and her husband Norm passed away comfortable in his sleep three weeks later Nov. 5, 2012.

While living in James-town, they were actively involved in the community and were longtime members of First Congregational Church.
Norm was involved in politics for many years having served on the James-town City Council and Chautauqua County Leg-islature, and Vi was his ar-dent supporter.
