Two suspects are in custody following a burglary that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson K. Knappenberger, 19, of Jamestown and a 15-year-old male were both charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, a concerned resident from West 11th Street witnessed two young male subjects illegally entering his neighbor's home at 30 W. 11th St. The resident then contacted the Jamestown Police Department which arrived on scene a short time later and set up a perimeter around the house. Officers challenged one subject who attempted to flee the home, who then retreated back inside the residence and refused to come out. At this time, the Jamestown Police K-9 unit was brought to the scene. The K-9 officer made several verbal challenges prior to the release of the K-9. During the K-9's search of the home, one of the subjects sustained injuries. An ambulance was summoned to the scene to attend to the subject's injuries.
