Jamestown BPU To Meet Today

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities has rescheduled its regular monthly meeting to noon today, in the Operations Center Board Room. The meeting had been set for 12:30 p.m.

Busti To Host Tree Lighting

BUSTI - The Busti-Hamlet Development Group and the town of Busti will be hosting a Christmas tree lighting ceremony Saturday. The event starts with a free dinner at 6 p.m. at the Busti Fire Department, 886 Mill Road. After dinner, the tree lighting will take place at 7 p.m., then there will be a visit from Santa Claus. There will also be coco, coffee and cookies available.

Financial Seminar Set For Thursday

Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, 385 S. Main St., Jamestown, will host a financial planning seminar Thursday from 6:15-7:30 p.m. RSVP at 488-1680 by Wednesday. The seminar is free to the public.

Medicare Seminar Set For Friday

KIANTONE - Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, Kiantone, will host a Medicare seminar on Saturday from 9:30-11 a.m. RSVP is requested by Friday at 569-2210. The seminar is free to the public.

Pianist To Perform This Friday

Timothy Noble, 13, a Christian pianist, will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the Hillcrest Baptist Church auditorium, 40 Hallock St., Jamestown. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. He plays the piano at church services and other special events weekly using his own arrangements done under the direction of his instructor.

Christmas Crafts Bazaar Is Saturday

SHERMAN - Stanley Hose Auxiliary will hold their annual Christmas Craft Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sherman Fire Hall on Park Street in Sherman. Lunch will be available along with a Chinese auction, live music from noon to 2 p.m. and vendors.

Sewer Board

To Meet Dec. 4

CELORON - The administrative board of the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. in the Water Pollution Control Facility.

Historical Society To Meet Dec. 4

BLOCKVILLE - Christmas at the Harmony Historical Society will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. Meat and beverage will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share and your own table service. This will be the last meeting for the year. The public is welcome to attend. The previous dinner meeting was held on Nov. 20. There were 20 members and two guests in attendance. Following dinner and a brief outline of the business meeting, everyone played "Fact or Fiction" and learned some interesting Thanksgiving facts.
