Light Of Christmas Set In McKean

MCKEAN, Pa. - The Presque Isle Parrothead Club Inc. will host Stars & Promises 2012: The Light of Christmas on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Road, McKean, PA. The show will benefit The Anna Shelter and the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 15 years old and younger, or $25 at the door. Dinner And Movie Night Is Friday

CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Community Baptist Church, located in the village at 25 Maple Avenue, will hold a free dinner and movie night this Friday in the Fellowship Hall. The dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and the movie, Have A Little Faith, will follow at 7 p.m. The dinner and movie are free, and is open to everyone to attend. All are welcome.

Leon Board To Meet Tonight

The Leon Town Board will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at the Leon Town Hall.

Senior Report

To Host Spanos

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have MaryAnn Spanos as the guest on the Dec. 1 television program. Spanos is director of the Chautauqua County Office for Aging. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions, comments or a shout-out. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of Senior Report, has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

Southwestern Board To Meet

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold a work-session meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Elementary School cafeteria. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct school business. The public is invited to attend.

Outdoor Club To Visit Toms Run

On Sunday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike or ski the Toms Run Trail at Hearts Content on the Allegheny National Forest. This is a relatively easy hike of about four miles. Participants will meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1 p.m. or at the trailhead at 1:45 p.m. For more information call John Young (814) 757-8158 or (814) 730-2915.
