LAKEWOOD - Jack Brunecz won the overall men's division and Melissa Sohl the overall women's division of the 12th annual Amy King Memorial 5K Run/Walk, held Saturday at the Lakewood-Busti Community Center.
The race is held each year to honor the memory of King, a flight attendant killed aboard Flight 175 on Sept. 11, 2001.
Brunecz, a 2002 Southwestern Central School graduate, finished the course in 16:49 while Sohl crossed the finish line in 21:45.

In the walking race portion of the event, Jeremy Scarsone won the men's division and Courtney Barren the women's.
Following Brunecz was runnerup Dan Meuller, who finished in 17:23, and third-place finisher Adam Rowe, whose time was 18:38.
Behind Sohl, meanwhile, Sandy Jolub was second, just five seconds shy of the winner, and Brooke Adams third with a time of 21:56.
Scarsone finished ahead of Mike Anderson and Rick Eklund in the men's walk, while Barren edged Dawn Scarsone and Vita Damon in the women's walk.
Proceeds from the race, which raises $10,000 each year, go to the Amy King Kids Fund, which helps underprivileged children attend camp, and the Amy King Track Scholarship, which awards a Southwestern Central School senior $1,000.
