Alma Jean Bartholow Perdue, age 83, of Ripley, N.Y., went to be with the Lord on Thursday Nov. 22, 2012, at Westfield Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 22, 1929, in King, Pa., to the late Howard Bruce and Lil-lian Elizabeth Brumbaugh Bartholow. Her family moved to Aliquppa, Pa. un-til she was 16 years old and then moved to Ripley, N.Y. in 1945.
Alma was formerly em-ployed at the Landsmith Cherry Plant in Ripley for 25 years before her retire-ment. She was a past matron of Order of Eastern Star, Columbine Chapter in Ripley, N.Y. Alma loved camping with her husband (Ralphie) at Pondarsa Park and listened to her favorite music, Blue Grass and (real) country music like George Jones. She also enjoyed camping at Lakeside Camp Grounds where she enjoyed playing golf at Lakeside Golf Course. She also en-joyed spending week ends playing golf in Kingsville, Ohio, and always said "I was a gopher, not the golfer."

Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ralph O. Perdue Jr., whom she married Sept. 28, 1947, and who died Jan. 1, 1988; and sisters: Violet Souders and Mary Mong.
She is survived by her daughters: Jeanette Keem (David) of Erie, Sandy Ko-chanowski (Daniel) of South Ripley and Darlene Meeder (Sid) of South Ripley; sister, Anna Mae (Ma-zie) Bray of North East; grandchildren: Kim Thorn-ton Kleckner (Brady), Ralph Kochanowski (Nicole-girlfriend), Christo-pher Keem (Candice), Ra-chel Freligh (Brett), Lorene Barulich (Ian) and Sid Meeder Jr. (Becky); and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Rotunda. Interment will be in North East Cemetery.
