She previously had been employed as a seamstress at the NuBone Company and B. Berman Bedding. She had been a member of Christian Assembly Church in Erie for 40 years and currently was a member of Lakeshore Assembly of God in Westfield, N.Y., where her son, Vinny, is pastor.
Frances immigrated to the United States with her family in 1953, and was so proud to become a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1968. The most important things in Frances' life were her faith in her Lord, and her love for her family. She loved her family uncondi-tionally and throughout her lifetime prayed for them daily and was always there to listen and support them. She loved gardening, cooking and baking, and was af-fectionately known as "Mama" Sanzo to many who knew and loved her.
Frances is survived by her children: a daughter, Lena (Robert) Tanner of Millcreek; four sons: Vinny (Kim) Sanzo of Westfield, N.Y., Nick (Cathy) Sanzo, of Millcreek, Joe (Tricia) Sanzo of SanRamon, Calif., and Plant City, Fla., and Frank (Denise) Sanzo of Millcreek; seven grandchildren: Bethany (Tim) Stronghart, Robert (Michelle) Tanner, Nate Sanzo, Joanna Sanzo, Anthony Sanzo, Nicholas San-zo and Isabella Sanzo; four great-grandchildren: Timothy and Cody Stronghart, and Ryan and Lauren Tanner; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank Sanzo; and a sister, Rose Aversa.
