John and Mary Ellen Owens of Ashville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennie Lynn, to Matthew Mayo, the son of Sheila Mesick of Reynoldsville, N.Y., and Ted Mayo of Locke, N.Y.
Miss Owens is a 2001 graduate of Panama Central School, a 2003 graduate of Jamestown Community College. a 2005 graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science, and a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned a Master of Science. She is employed by the Trumansburg Central School District as a school counselor. Her fiance is a 1997 graduate of Watkins Glen Central School. He is also employed by the Trumansburg Central School District.
An Aug. 4, 2013, wedding is planned.
