Church To Host GriefShare Event
FALCONER - Levant Wesleyan Church, 1670 Lindquist Drive in Falconer, will host "Surviving the Holidays" by GriefShare Inc. on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon. Lunch will follow. Craft Show, Cookie Walk Set
CHERRY CREEK - The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will hold its Christmas craft show and cookie walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Craft vendors are needed. Cookies will be available for $3.75 a dozen. There will also be a bake sale.

The Village Set
Plans are under way for the third annual Christmas in the Village event in Lakewood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Sponsored by the Women's Club of Lakewood, Christmas in the Village encourages shoppers to visit Chautauqua Avenue businesses for holiday gifts. Free refreshments, craft vendors, and a bake sale will be available at the Busti-Lakewood Recreation Center, 9 W. Summit St. Drawings for prizes will add fun to the day. The village of Lakewood plans to hold a tree lighting ceremony in Lakewood Memorial Park, along with other festivities, begining at 5 p.m.
Pancake Brunch Set For Dec. 2
Villenova Grange will serve pancake brunch Sunday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at their hall at Balcoms Corners, Route 83 and Route 322, South Dayton. Menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage; real syrup, lite syrup, or sugar-free syrup; cinnamon apples; orange, apple, or tomato juice; reg or decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or milk. 'Canticle Of Christmas' Set
WESTFIELD - The Westfield Community Chorus, directed by Sally Merwin, will perform ''Canticle of Christmas,'' a cantata by Tom Fetke and Camp Kirkland on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. in the West Portland Baptist Church, Westfield and at 7:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 9869 E. Sidehill Road, Ripley; and Sunday Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. in the Mayville United Methodist Church, Mayville and at 7:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Westfield. The public is invited to attend. Cemetery Owners To Meet Dec. 3
A meeting of the lot owners' of Sinclairville Evergreen Cemetery will be held on Monday, Dec. 3 at the village hall. The purpose of the meeting is election of trustees to reorganize the board. Proxy votes will be accepted. Forms are available from Betty J. Ridout at 962-2309 or any current trustee.
JCA To Present Symphony
The Jamestown Concert Association's third concert of its 2012-13 season will be Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in the Reg Lenna Civic Center. Symphony Syracuse will perform its Light Classics and Holiday Pops conducted by Sean O'Loughlin.
