Todd R. Griswold, 48, of Sherman-Stedman Road, passed away on Nov. 18, 2012, at his home on the family farm due to his bat-tle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 15, 1964, in Westfield Memori-al Hospital, the son of the late Charles R. Griswold and Barbra J Blue-Griswold-Taber of Jamestown, N.Y.
He attended Sherman Central School and at age 18, braved the picket line at Ridg-U-Rak with his yel-low Mercury Cougar, his car suffered a broken windshield but he came out the winner and determined to work. He was currently employed at Ridg-U-Rak, North East, Pa. On Oct. 5, 2012, it was his 31st an-niversary with Ridg-U-Rak.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, (with his sister Teresa hanging on for dear life) snowmobiling and ATVing with his brother Ron (Rock) and loved to hunt. He also found time to work on their race car with his brother. Todd also en-joyed his farm animals and working in the woods. Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Todd will be sadly missed by those who really knew him and his many friends, and colleagues with which he worked. He was a pillar of strength through his medical prob-lems and seldom com-plained. He loved his children and grandchildren more than they will ever know.
He would tell us if he were here "Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I turned my back and left it all, I could not stay another day. Tasks left undone must stay that way for I found peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief."
Besides his his mother he is survived by his partner of many years, Terri Ebright, of Sherman, N.Y.; two daughters: Tayllor Griswold, Erie, Pa. and Teanna Griswold, of Fredonia, N.Y; sister, Teresa Hilton, Lakewood, Ohio; step-children: Dorian (wife, Stephanie) Biondo, and Jennifer Maka, both of Erie, Pa., Joseph Ebright of Sher-man, N.Y., and Ashley Ebright of Harborcreek, Pa.; seven grandchildren; aunts: JoAnn Westphal, Sharon Fisher, Jessie May Griswold and Beverly Davis; uncles: Richard, David, Floyd and Thomas Griswold; and also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his father, Todd was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald "Rock" Griswold, Oct. 7, 2006.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, with the Rev. Paul Sears officiating. Visi-tation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
