Veteran Wreath Ceremony Set

The Civil Air Patrol Jamestown Composite Squadron is helping to honor veterans by sponsoring the Wreaths America ceremony at the Lakeview Cemetery Soldiers Circle on Saturday, Dec. 15 at noon. All local veterans and the community are invited to a brief program and wreath laying in honor of those who have served our country. There will be simultaneous ceremonies going on at nearly 750 locations across America. Visit wreathsacrossamerica.org by Sunday to help sponsor wreaths in honor of veterans. Bits N Pieces To Sit In At Craft Sale

FALCONER - Bits n Pieces, a chapter of NY Federation of Home Bureaus Inc. will have an information table along with handcrafts for sale at the Holiday Craft Sale and Open House located on East Mosher in Falconer. The entrance is on the back side of the old Mr. Salvage building, between North Work Street and West Street, look for the balloons. The sale is Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Retired Teachers To Meet Dec. 5

The next meeting of the Southern Chautauqua County Retired Teachers' Association will be on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Following the business meeting at 11:30 a.m., there will be a luncheon and a musical performance by the Chautauqua Lake High School Chorale. The deadline for reservations is Monday. Membership in SCCRTA is open to any retired teacher in Chautauqua County. Please call Beth Green at 763-1356 for more information.

Ross Grange To Meet Monday

FALCONER - Ross Grange will meet Monday at the Falcons Nest with a tureen supper at 6:30 p.m. Reports will be given for the successful "Holiday Happenings Craft Show" held Nov. 17. Gingerbread Men from the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club will be distributed for items to be purchased and brought to the Dec. 10 meeting. Plans for the Dec. 10 Christmas Party will be made.

Senior Report To Host Don Pituch

MAYVILLE - Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Don Pituch as the guest on Saturday. Pituch's topic will be hunting. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

Pre-licensing Course Offered

FREWSBURG - A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
