BUTLER, Pa. - Davonte Dunham excelled in the scoring department Tuesday night for Jamestown Community College's men basketball team.
Dunham scored 38 points, including seven 3-pointers. in a 102-67 victory over Butler County CC (0-4) in NJCAA action.
The win was JCC's fourth in a row and the Jayhawks, a Division II team, now are 5-3 after starting the season at 1-3.
''We got off to a great start,'' stated coach Mike Cordovano, noting that Dunham had three 3s in a 20-0 run.
The halftime score showed JCC leading, 56-27.
''Kenny Stokes continued to play solid ball and we need him to score,'' said Cordovano about Stokes, who with Tyreek Jewell had 15 points each.
Calvin Sterling handed out 11 assists and Mike Forrest delivered 14 points in the lopsided win.
Jamestown travels to Pitt-Titusville next Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.
