Sharon Ann Renfroe, 51, of Portland, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Select Living Hospital of Erie Pa., after battling an extended illness for many years.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1961, in Smithtown, Long Island, and grew up in Po-mona Park, Fla.
Sharon had many hobbies. She liked to read books, her favorite author being Stephen King, and enjoyed watching horror movies such as ''Halloween,'' ''Friday the 13th,'' ''The Walking Dead'' and ''Texas Chainsaw Massacre.'' She also loved spending time with her family and friends. To Sharon, people were what really mattered in life. Sharon was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also a friend to everyone she knew. Sharon will be remembered for her acts of kindness and generosity.

Sharon is survived by her children: Ellis Renfroe, James Seavy III and Jessica (Joseph) Houshel, all of Portland, N.Y.; her beloved grandson, Evann Houshel; her siblings: Karen (Irving) Pemberton of Labelle, Fla., John (Melinda) Prianti of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Terry Tennant, Shawn Tennant and Darren Tennant, all of Pomona Park, Fla. Sharon is also survived by her step-father, Pete Tennant of Pomona Park, Fla.; her niece Tracy; and nephews: Mark, Steven, Dillon, Devon and Terry; and her lifelong friend, father of her chil-dren and companion, James Seavy II.
Sharon is preceded in death by both her parents, Frank Mcloughlin of Smithtown, Long Island, and Gertrude Willis of Pomona Park, Fla.; and her sister, Marion Tennant of Pomona Park, Fla.
Sharon will always be remembered as a loving, caring and strong woman. She was truly extraordinary.
Funeral services will be held at a later time and at the convenience of the fam-ily. In lieu of flowers, dona-tions may be made in the care of James Seavy III at 4603 Railroad Ave., Stockton, NY 14784.
