JAMESTOWN POLICE
Aaron R. Johnson, 36, of Jamestown was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence at 9:20 p.m. Saturday. According to police, officers were dispatched to the Breaktime Bar for a disorderly person. Johnson was seen leaving in a vehicle but was later found at the Bullfrog Hotel. While officers were interviewing Johnson, he began placing an unknown white powder into his mouth and refused to stop when he was told to by officers. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
James H. Bogard, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile device at 4:13 p.m. Friday. According to police, Bogard was pulled over for driving while talking on his cell phone. During the investigation it was found that Bogard didn't have a license and had a blood-alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit. He was taken to the city jail pending arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
LAKEWOOD - Phillip D. Tripani, 20, of Falconer, Kaitlynn E. Gullotti, 22, of Jamestown, and Jamie P. Sheldon, 21, of Jamestown, were all charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 4:40 p.m. Saturday after their vehicle was pulled over on Southwestern Drive. All three will be in court later.
WESTFIELD POLICE
WESTFIELD - Courtney L. Copfer, 34, of Erie, Pa., was charged with disorderly conduct at 12:55 a.m. Friday. Additionally, Allen L. Banister, 44, of Lake City, Pa., was charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and David R. Halko, 51, of Erie, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. According to police, an officer allegedly saw Copfer get out of a vehicle and begin urinating in a parking lot. During the investigation it was found Banister was in possession of an open can of alcohol and that Halko, the driver of the vehicle, possessed a revoked driver's license. All three will be in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA - Dustin D. Taves, 24, of North Harmony was taken into custody on a warrant for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 3:55 a.m. Sunday. According to police, a vehicle was pulled over for speeding and Taves was the passenger in the vehicle. After a record check, Taves was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
PORTLAND - John D. Sisson, 42, of Westfield was charged with following too closely at 1:45 p.m. Saturday. According to police, deputies responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident and through investigation it was found that Sisson was following too closely and rear-ended the other vehicle when it attempted to turn into a driveway. Sisson will be in court later.
HANOVER - Thomas A. Banach, 44, of Dunkirk, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and having insufficient headlights at 1:59 a.m. Sunday. According to police, Banach was pulled over when he was seen driving with insufficient lights. Further investigation found Banach to be intoxicated. He will be in court later.
Adam W. Halm, 33, of Falconer was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and speeding at 2:25 a.m. Saturday. According to police, Halm was pulled over for speeding and following an investigation was found to be intoxicated. Halm will be in court later.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
GREAT VALLEY - Carolyn L. Schmittendorf, 52, of Hamburg was charged with driving while intoxicated at 10:24 p.m. Wednesday. According to police, deputies were dispatched after receiving a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Route 417 in Great Valley. Schmittendorf was identified as the driver and taken into custody after deputies administered standardized field sobriety tests and found signs she was intoxicated. She was taken to Olean General Hospital for a blood test and will be in court later .
LEON - Dennis C. Ziegler, 68, of Leon was charged with first-degree robbery, a class B felony, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. According to police, an investigation found Ziegler showed a weapon and stole $20 from a Gowanda man while on Mosher Hollow Road in Leon. Ziegler was arraigned and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $7,000 bail. He will be in court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
HANOVER - Robin S. Hittle, 50, of Angola was charged with five counts of petit larceny, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of second-degree criminal impersonation at 4:12 p.m. Friday. She will be in court later.
PORTLAND - Timothy T. Brown, 32, of Dunkirk had his parole/conditional release revoked at 1 p.m. Nov. 7. He was held pending further action.
BRANT - Adam P. Puleo, 30, of Lackawanna was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container at 8:15 p.m. Friday. He will be in court later.
BRANT - Sarah E. White, 25, of Derby was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:07 p.m. Friday. She will be in court later.
ELLICOTT - Derek A. Gifford, 19, of Titusville, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater at 11:14 p.m. Saturday.
