FALCONER - Brandon Norris is a senior who has excelled in all areas of study, particularly science at Falconer Central School.

According to Brandon, it is the applicable nature of science that interests him and facilitates his exceptional grades.

"What drew me to science is the creativity you can express with it," said Brandon. "You're able to solve a problem different ways, you can look at things and solve real-life issues, and you can do some really neat things with it. You can apply it to life."

In addition to regular core classes, Brandon is also taking physics, CAD class, calculus and college English. Through this intensive daily class schedule, he has maintained straight A's across the board.

By the time Brandon graduates from high school, he will have already accumulated 34 college credits, effectively allowing him to bypass his freshman year at college.

He has also received Advanced Placement credit in government, Spanish and history.

Brandon plans to continue applying his studies to a college degree in engineering. While he hasn't yet sent out applications, he has formulated a mental list of colleges to attend.

"I'm not sure on my college yet but I think Clarkson University, Lafayette College and Lehigh University would be my top three choices of good places to go," Brandon said.

Outside the classroom, Brandon also maintains a grueling pace in his extracurricular activities.

"I'm pretty busy," said Brandon. "I run cross country and I'm part of the track team doing distance events and I'm also in (Falconer) honor society, so I try to keep myself busy."
