The Harmony Senior Citizens enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 1 at Rowdy Rooster in Panama. Melvin Lord read a poem, led the flag salute and gave the dinner prayer. Wyona Wevers decorated the tables.
November birthdays were celebrated by Ellen Lord, Van Luther, Beverly Smith, Alan Moren, Gary Ostrander and Bill Sweeney. Anniversaries were celebrated by Jerry and Carol Bergman, Jim and Rosanne Babcock and Richard and Shirley Carlson celebrating 67 years.
The annual Christmas dinner is planned for the Rowdy Rooster at noon on Dec. 6. Reservations will be taken by calling Lester Wevers until Nov. 26 at $7 per person. Members are encouraged to bring Angel Tree gifts and nonperishable food items to the dinner.
Christmas cards for our veterans are to be sent by Dec. 9. Wendy Raynor gave a report on the shut-ins and those under the weather. Future meetings will begin at noon until April. Anyone 55 or older is welcomed to join the group. A pizza party is planned for January.
