Another large-scale marijuana growing operation was discovered in Jamestown on Tuesday.
BPU employees alerted Jamestown Police when they found electric lines running into the residence at 834 Lafayette St. had been tampered with.
"We were able to determine that the utilities were in a Truver's name," said Harry Snellings, police chief. "After that, we were able to get a search warrant for the premises."

The bust comes less than a week after seven people were charged after members of the Jamestown Police Department and New York State Police CNET carried out five search warrants. Four of the seven people who were charged in the searches were part of the Truver family.
A large number of mature marijuana plants, a quantity of dried marijuana and multiple weapons along with growing equipment was located inside the home.
Police are asking for help finding more of the growing operations. One of the tell-tale signs that it may be occurring is modified power lines running into a home. Landlords and anyone else who have noticed power lines that have been modified are asked to contact the BPU or the Jamestown Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected.
