CHAUTAUQUA - Hurlbut Community Church in Chautauqua Institution will present "Pot Luck Worship" at its Midweek Vesper worship service on Wednesday. The monthly family music and arts worship event will begin with a 5:30 p.m. pot luck dinner, with the service beginning at 6:15 p.m.
Vespers coordinator Bill Ward will host an open-mic style service, with worship contributions from community members. Music, poetry, scripture and other worship art forms will be offered.
Persons wishing to contribute to the service may contact Ward at wardwill@gmail.com or by phone at 753-2800. Participants may also sign up for the service during the dinner hour.
The Midweek Vespers is a music and arts-based worship service with a minimum of spoken word. It is presented one Wednesday a month in Hurlbut Church, Pratt at Scott avenues, Chautauqua. "Faith Weaver," a children's supervised Bible experience, is provided separately during the service.
The community is welcome, free of charge, to every Vespers service and dinner. Donations and pot luck dinner contributions are not necessary, but are appreciated. For information, visit hurlbutchurch.org or call 357-4045.
