The Gerry Republican Committee hosted a town hall meeting on Oct. 6.
There were about 50 people attending the meeting held at the Gerry Fire Hall. Elected officials in attendance were the Hon. John Ward, Chautauqua County Court judge; Andrew Goodell, state Assemblyman; Chautauqua County Legislator Larry Barmore, R-Gerry, Legislator Mark Tarbrake; Legislator PJ Wendell; and Legislator George Borello. U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, and state Sen. Catharine Young, R-C-I-Olean, were also represented by office members.
There were brief statements by each official and then the floor was opened for questions. The town hall meeting was the first in Gerry.
