WESTFIELD - The Westfield Republican Committee held a chicken and biscuit dinner Oct. 23 at the Alliance of God Church in Westfield.
An extra 50 meals were prepared beyond the number of ticket holders to accommodate walk-ins. The proceeds from the event, $1,497 after expenses, are for holiday decorations on Westfield's Main Street, under the auspices of the Westfield Beautification Committee.
Those who ate at the site met and chatted with U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, Assemblyman Andrew Goodell and Chautauqua County Court Judge John Ward. Chautauqua County Executive Greg Edwards and Chautauqua County Clerk Sandy Sopak were also present. The candidates each spoke briefly about their experience and platform, and expressed their appreciation for the privilege of serving their country and state.

The Westfield Republican Committee thanks all of those people who supported this fundraiser. This not only includes those who purchased tickets, but also the merchants who graciously displayed the advertising posters in their establishments and those who donated money outside of meal tickets. A special thank you to Bill Brazill, the new owner of the former Sapore restaurant, who was out of state, but made a substantial donation. The hard work of the committee members and elected town and village officials made this a total success.
