RIPLEY - Seventeen artist members of the North Shore Arts Alliance will be exhibiting work in a group show at the Sensory Winery and Art Gallery in Ripley from now until January. The show opened Oct. 26 and will run through Jan. 6, 2013.
A reception for the artists will take place today from 7-9 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public and coincides with the Lake Erie Wine Country's Annual Harvest Wine Weekends. This is a great opportunity for people in the community to meet the artists and sample some of Sensory Wineries famous blended wines.
Members of the NSAA explore a variety of styles in this show from abstract collages, to landscapes and figurative works. The show features new works by Thomas Annear, Bonnie Beyer, Barbara Del Monte, Patrick Del Monte, Nancy N. Ensign, Kaitlin Frisicaro, Bill Karrow, Nancy Hutchison, Trenton Lutes, Susan Mackay, Christine Davis Mantai, George Petrella, Mara Rubin, Tim Sivertsen, Bill Smith and Susan Wolfe.
The North Shore Arts Alliance began working with Sensory owner Kevin Daughrity in October 2011 to create a series of themed group shows focussing on different aspects of our member artist's works. The first show last fall was an Abstract show featuring works by seven member artists. The abstract show was followed by a figurative show, a landscape show, a photography show and now a members' show. The next show will be a 3-D show curated by Mark Gillespie that will begin in January.
The North Shore Arts Alliance is a not-for-profit co-operative marketing, promotional and membership organization working on behalf of artists in Chautauqua County. The organization seeks to foster an environment where art strengthens our county's image, economic vitality and quality of life.
