ALFRED - ''I am real happy with the way we wrestled being as shorthanded as we were,'' said Coach Robbie Waddington after Jamestown Community College suffered a 25-20 decision to Alfred State College in NJCAA Region 3, Division III action on Wednesday.

JCC wrestled with only seven men and five of them picked up victories, but the three forfeited matches, which cost the Jayhawks 18 points, proved to be costly.

JCC's Tysean Wilson won at 125 pounds over Edwin Urchima, 8-2, followed by Zachary McCracken at 133 pounds over Craig Luffman, 17-9, and Tom Davidson at 141 over Stephen Ansteth, 11-2.

The other two wins for the Jayhawks were by Ryan Guynup (fall at 2:51) at 149 and Pat Sause (6-5 decision) at 165.

JCC competes in the annual Muskegon (Mich.) Tournament this weekend.
