Investigators may have reason to believe that the robbery at Jamestown Savings Bank in Falconer on Monday was the latest in a string of robberies across New York state.

According to police, investigators from the Jamestown Police Department and the town of Ellicott are currently working with the FBI and other police agencies from across New York to see if several other bank robberies that have occurred are related to the robberies on Monday. Information has been received through a criminal intelligence bulletin showing a pattern of bank robberies that have been committed by a serial bank robber all over New York state. The suspect shown in the surveillance photos from these robberies is similar in appearance to the suspect who robbed Jamestown Savings Bank in Falconer on Monday afternoon.

Investigators are also working to see if the robbery that took place at the First Niagara Bank in Jamestown is connected to these other robberies as well.

The suspect entered the bank, handed a teller a note demanding cash, and fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount. He had light brown hair with a reddish-blonde goatee style mustache and was wearing wire rim glasses, a black leather coat, black pants, a green button-up shirt and a black Pittsburgh Pirates hat with a black "P" on the front.
