JAMESTOWN POLICE
John P. Matteson, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of criminal mischief (felony), criminal mischief (misdemeanor), two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, attempted grand larceny, possession of burglar's tools, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property at 3:16 p.m. Monday. According to police, officers found Matteson while responding to a report of a trespasser. He allegedly broke into a residence, stole tools and attempted to steal a truck. Officers also learned that he went to the location in a vehicle that had been stolen previously. He was taken into custody and held pending further action.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
LAKEWOOD - Terry L. Van Name, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. According to police, it was found that Van Name had removed cash and merchandise from Wal-Mart between Sept. 20 and Oct. 28, totalling more than $1,300. He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. It was also found that Van Name had a warrant out of the Town of Pomfret for failure to appear from an unrelated incident.
WESTFIELD POLICE
WESTFIELD - Bryan Oneil Rodriguez-Morales, 19, of Westfield, was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 12:47 a.m. Saturday. According to police, while investigating an alleged suspicious male in Westfield, officers observed Morales acting nervous and allegedly tossing something into the grass next to him. Morales then walked over to an officer and grabbed him by the arm, attempting to pull the officer. He was advised that he was under arrest and not free to leave, but he began to flee officers on foot. When he was caught, he began to physically fight with officers, allegedly biting an officer multiple times. While in a police vehicle, Morales allegedly kicked and damaged the patrol car. He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 property. He is to appear in court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
MAYVILLE - Josh A. Moore, 32, of Mayville, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended registration, unlicensed operation, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving without insurance and having improper plates at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday. His vehicle was towed and he will answer the charges in court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
YORKSHIRE - Dorothy M. Wohlhoeter, 53, of Yorkshire, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment at 10 p.m. Thursday. Wohlhoeter was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Carrie S. Renner, 46, of Falconer, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and driving while intoxicated at 10:53 p.m. Monday. She was held pending further action.
WESTFIELD - Clark A. Riedesel, 82, of Mayville, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and driving while intoxicated at 5:22 p.m. Monday. He was later released to a third party.
COLLINS - Tracy L. Argentieri, 37, of Buffalo, was charged with false personation at 12:15 p.m. Monday. She was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.
COLLINS - Jason W. Marr, 42, of Silver Creek, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment at 3:34 p.m. Monday. He was released on his own recognizance.
