CHAUTAUQUA John "Jack" M. McKibbin III passed to peace on Nov. 2, 2012, at home in Chautauqua Shores to join his wife, Roberta.
He was born to Eleanor (Kennedy) and John McKibbin Jr., (both deceased) on May 30, 1931. in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was a graduate of the University of Virginia, and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was an executive in the aluminum industry, an amazing golfer, staunch Republican and diehard Steelers fan.
His extended family of children: Mary Jane (de-ceased), John IV, Margaret, Stanton, Suzanne, Katie (deceased), Kelly, Jamie, Renee, Brent; grandchildren: William, Cameron, Jackson, Brooks, Kennedy, John V, Kate, Henderson, John, Grant, Brooks, Lucy, Emma, Blake, Declan, Ian; and great-grandchildren were enriched, loved and taught by Jack. His friends were his joy.
He will be celebrated with visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at Freay Funeral Home, 139 S. Erie St., Mayville, NY, and services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Hurlbut Memori-al Church, 14 Pratt Ave., Chautauqua, NY. Interment at Chautauqua Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, dona-tions to the Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution, P.O. Box 254, Chautauqua, NY 14722 are suggested.
