Harriet A. Anderson was born in Corry, Pa., to the late Rundolph John Nelson and Ilene M. Hayes. She passed away on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.
She was a wife, mother, Girl Scout leader, medical transcriptionist and a teach-er and co-director at the Lomax Christian Day School.
Survivors include her husband, Herschel Anderson of Hohenwald; daughter, Marie Clement (Matt) of Mt. Juliet; brother, Gerry Nelson (Candy) of Hohenwald; sister Judy Miriani (Nick) of St. Au-gustine, Fla.; sister-in-law Shaaron Blake, (Jack) of Falconer, N.Y.; grandchildren: Caleb, Ian, Riley and Jaiden Clement, all of Mt. Juliet; nieces: Jessica Chaney (Tim), Nikki Deaton, Tina Mariani and Teresa Schnell (Rob); and nephews: Jeremey Nelson, Jim McGuane (Lisa), Bart Anderson and Shaun Sischo.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at 4 p.m., at the Lomax Church of Christ with David Salisbury and Malcom George officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested do-nations be made to either the Lomax Christian Day School or the Ingram Canc-er Center at Vanderbilt.
