Marie T. Gerringer formerly of Prospect Avenue, Olean, passed away Thurs-day, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Pines Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Ole-an.
Born Feb. 16,1925, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Blanche Riehle Hyde. On Aug. 16, 1947, she married George A. Gerringer, who passed away April 17, 2011.
Marie was a graduate of Olean High School class of 1943, and worked at American Olean Tile Co. for several years.
Surviving are two daughters: Barbara (Kelly) O'Keefe of Allegany and Mary Jo Kreiner of Smeth-port, Pa.; two sons: David (Janice) Gerringer of James-town, and Richard (Alice) Gerringer of Olean; 13 grandchildren; seven great--grandchildren; one broth-er, Duane (Virginia) Hyde of Portville; one sister, El-len (James) Thierman of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Janet Lynn Gerringer and Joan Marie Haggerty;
Family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 East State St., Olean, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in St. Mary of the Angels Church at 10 a.m. Father Gregory Dob-son, pastor, will be celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angel Church or to a charity of the donor choice.
