The Chautauqua County Camera Club will hold its first official meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Fireplace Room at the James Prendergast Library.
"Members of C4 will participate in activities that will help to expand upon different methods of self expression through photography," said Chad Ecklof, founding member, "encouraging each other to share techniques and shooting styles, along with post production processing through popular software, in order to achieve a more artistic approach to standard photography."
And all members are encouraged to participate in as many different avenues as possible to achieve the broadest spectrum of learning. The philosophy the Chautauqua County Camera Club follows is an "anything goes" approach to what to do with photos once they've been taken.

The photo above of the Busti Cider Mill is among those that will be discussed at the inaugural meeting of the Chautauqua County Camera Club.
"There are so many great ways to enhance a photo or make a shot more interesting and every member brings a style and method that is unique or unknown to others who might be interested in learning, " Ecklof said, "and that's what we will discover each month when we gather."
The theme for November's meeting is "Autumn in the Southern Tier" and anyone attending is asked to submit a photo taken at any point in their lives that fits this theme. Photos can be submitted for display by emailing them to chad@ecklof.com no later than Monday.
The discussions will cover high dynamic range photography and how to shoot and process photos with a surreal look and feel.
