ELLICOTTVILLE - Rallying in the second half, No. 2 Ellicottville made it three straight victories over No. 3 West Valley in the Section 6 Class D boys soccer semifinals on Wednesday.
The No. 2 Eagles (9-8) scored twice after intermission en route to a 2-1 win over No. 3 West Valley (5-12).
Cole Stanbro put West Valley ahead at four-minute mark in the first quarter and it maintained that edge until the second half.
Alex Steinbroner tied things up for Ellicottville unassisted at 1-1 with his eighth goal of the season at 1:17.
John Alzate got his fourth tally of the year and the game winner at 12 minutes from Pat Morton for the Eagles.
Ellicottville plays at No. 1 North Collins (12-3) on Friday at Pioneer at 7:30 p.m.
