Jamestown Community College and the State University at Buffalo have finalized an agreement on the transfer of credits for several programs.
The agreement includes 53 specific JCC and Buffalo State program-to-program articulations. New articulation agreements outline the transfer of credits from JCC's A.S. Biotechnology and A.S. Environmental Studies to Buffalo State's biology degree, JCC's A.S. Environmental Studies to Buffalo State's earth science degree, JCC's A.S. Liberal Arts and Sciences: Math & Science to Buffalo State's forensic chemistry degree, and JCC's A.S. Liberal Arts and Sciences: Math & Science to Buffalo State's physics education (7-12) degree.
JCC students apply to Buffalo State before completing 30 credit hours and, if accepted, remain at JCC to complete an associate's degree. In some cases the agreement guarantees that students can complete the bachelor's degree in four semesters at Buffalo State, while other bachelor's degrees may require more than four semesters. Students can transfer up to 66 JCC credit hours.
Buffalo State offers 169 undergraduate and 65 graduate programs.
