CATTARAUGUS?- On Sunday at 9 a.m., St. John's Church, 28 Ellicott St., Cattaraugus, will continue a 125th anniversary celebration with Remembrance Sunday.
Time will be set aside to commemorate those who have blessed lives in countless ways. Whether it is a family member or friend, attendees are invited to bring pictures and other mementos that reflect their memories. Those items will be given a place of honor in the chancel of the sanctuary during the service.
In addition to the personal memories, the history of the church resonates with the stories of faithful members who have lent their time and talents to create a lasting legacy.

In some instances these contributions are marked by an engraved nameplate or wall plaque. Others live on in the stories passed down from generation to generation. During this service of remembrance some of these stories will be recollected in tribute to this milestone.
"Everyone is most welcome to attend this service - whether members of the church or not. I am sure that there will be tears as we recall those we miss, but also there will be smiles as we recount fond memories of times shared with our loved ones," said Pastor Harland J. West. "These are the ties that bind us all together."
