Church To Host Rummage Sale

CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Community Baptist Church, 25 Maple Ave., Cassadaga, will hold its annual rummage sale in the fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The side entrances will take one to the fellowship hall. Beginning at 1 p.m., the bag sale will begin and whatever can be put in a bag will cost $2. The public is welcome to attend.

Halloween Hours In Cassadaga Change

CASSADAGA - Trick-or-treating hours in Cassadaga will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday with a Halloween party to follow at the fire hall.

Clymer Library To Host Toddler Time

CLYMER - The Clymer-French Creek Free Library is having toddler time for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years of age from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, Nov. 3, 7 and 17. The time will include stories and activities for the children.To register, visit the library or call 355-8823. Library hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Trick-Or-Treat Hours

GERRY - Because of possible inclement weather on Wednesday, the town of Gerry has changed its trick-or-treating hours to Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Maple Grove Slates Battle Of Classes

The Maple Grove High School Student Council will host a Battle of the Classes event from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the high school gymnasium. Admission is $1 and the battle is open to the public. Students from each class compete in a variety of events.

Trunk-R-Treat Is Wednesday

LAKEWOOD - Lakewood Baptist Church, 150 S. Erie St., Lakewood, is hosting Trunk-R-Treat, an alternative Halloween event, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. There will also be a petting zoo in the parking lot with refreshments and games in the church's Family Life Center. For more information, call 763-9621.

Concert Association Event Is Friday

The Jamestown Concert Association's second concert of its 2012-13 season will be Friday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Pianist Alexander Schimpf will perform. Individual tickets are $20, $7.50 for college students and free for students 18 and under attending with a paid adult. For more information visit jamestownconcertassociation.org.

Gas Well Talk Is Thursday At Library

The Jamestown Prendergast Library will present a critical discussion series on the impact of gas well fracking on Chautauqua County residents. A discussion with panelists County Executive Greg Edwards; Bill Boria, water resource specialist with the Chautauqua County Department of Health; David Flynn, partner at Phillips Lytle; and Mike Hogan, owner of Hogan Energy Consulting, will be held Thursday, Nov. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fireplace Room. The series is chaired by Doug Champ, chairman of the Chautauqua County Energy Expo.
