Jacquelyn L. Carlson

Jacquelyn L. Carlson, 76, of 169 Hazeltine Ave., died at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, in WCA Hospital. She had most recently resided with her son and daughter-in-law in Clymer, N.Y.

She was the widow of Raymond V. Carlson, whom she married March 14, 1962, and who died Sept. 5, 1989.

Jacquelyn was born April 6, 1936, in Warren, Pa., the eldest of 14 children of the late Clemmer V. and Ruth Fiscus Bean. She was a 1955 graduate of Youngs-ville High School.

She had been employed as a receptionist by Seneca Eye Surgeons in James-town, retiring in 1996. Jacquelyn formerly worked for Quality Markets on Hazeltine Avenue.

She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, knitting, bingo and in earlier years, playing piano. Jacquelyn looked forward to lunch with friends and above all, loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons: Bruce R. (Cathy) Carlson of Clymer, and Gary A. (Colleen) Carlson of Lander, Pa.; a daughter, Sherry L. (William) Piazza of Jamestown; eight grandchildren and; seven great-grand- children.

Also surviving are three sisters: Janet Barnes of Youngsville, Pa., Deborah (Victor) Savitz of Pittsfield, Pa., and Pamela (Dan) Ken-nedy of Grand Valley, Pa.; six brothers: Jeffrey Bean and Bruce (Toni) Bean of Spring Creek, Pa., Doyle (Sheila) Bean, Dayle Bean and John (Nancy) Bean, all of Pittsfield, and Dallas Bean of Centerville, Pa.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Clarice Conklin and Denna Gern; and two brothers: Alvin and Paul Bean.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Sam Shreffler will officiate. Burial will be in Sun-set Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Thursday.
