Mom’s Country Kitchen Now Open

The Post-Journal

Mom's Country Kitchen, a restaurant manager by Carol Rowland, is now open for business.

The restaurant, located at 2494 Peck Settlement Road, is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Gary Lynn, in concert with the Jabez Leadership Group, recently announced the restaurant's establishment.

Mom's Country Kitchen will provide an alternative to fast food with family-style meals scaling from an individual to a family. The majority of meals are rotisserie roasted with chicken, pork and beef selections. Meals include gourmet family-style sides, soups, desserts and beverages.

"Mom's endeavors to positively impact the local community by providing a healthier home-cooked rotisserie venue to the fast-food centric Poland and Falconer industrial districts," Lynn said. "I have operated several businesses in Falconer over the years and have struggled to find a healthier alternative to fast food for my team members. Mom's offers the convenience of pre-ordering hot homestyle meals for easy pickup, as well as a dine-in option that is fast."

Within close proximity of the restaurant location are several factories and residential communities. As such, Mom's Country Kitchen will service two distinct local needs - factory meal periods and family-style meals for local families.

The factories have certain restrictions that make them unique - their team members have a specific window of time to take their meal period. During that time, they must consider proximity to their workplace, time between ordering and receipt, price and the overall quality of the product. There are options within the Falconer area that provide a fast-food experience for the workers. However, such options cannot keep up with the demand volume during the meal periods and the end product is not usually a healthy solution.

As the facility is within close proximity to many factories, pre-ordering meals for a timely and convenient pickup, along with a fast dine-in option, will allow workers to invest little time getting their meals and more time to enjoy them.

The second part of the service plan is the working family. As never before, households are stretched for time with many competing priorities. The days of meal planning and having time to prepare quality family style meals have long since been replaced by fast food and pre-made meals from grocery stores. While fast food provides convenience, it does not usually provide a healthy solution. And grocery store meals require a time commitment to access the store and fight the evening crowds.

Along with the dine-in and dine-out options, Mom's Country Kitchen also provides full-service, on-site and off-site catering. Mom's Country Kitchen will also be available for special after-hour gatherings for up to 35 people.

Located at 2494 Peck Settlement Road - turn south from West Main Street Falconer onto South Work Street - over the bridge approximately one mile - Mom's will be open Tuesday thru Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., making certain to service as many of the factory meal periods as possible. Orders taken daily at 489-3269.

This venture is yet another partnership of Lynn and the Jabez Leadership Group - Jabez purchased the Jamestown United States Postal Service building last June.
