Jamestown Swimmers Qualify For Sectionals

CLARENCE - Jamestown's Emily Kling, Annie Dyatel, Andraya Andino and Abbi Johnson along with three relay teams qualified for the Section 6 Swimming Championships that will be held Thursday and Friday at Erie Community College's Flickinger Pool.

The Section 6 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Class AA meet was held at Clarence where the hosts won with 432 points and Jamestown finished with 52 points on Saturday.

Kling was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.97) and 12th in the 200 individual medley (2:24.04) while Dyatel was 13th in the 500 freestyle (5:52.82) and 14th in the 200 freestyle (2:12.32).

Andino came in 15th in the 100 backstroke (1:08.32) and Johnson had a preliminary round of 1:17.85 that qualified her in the 100 backstroke.

Overall, Johnson was 17th (1:19.05).

The 400 freestyle relay unit of Dyatel, Johnson, Kling and Johnson came in 12th (4:07.06), the 200 medley relay team of Dyatel, Kling, Adrianna Roehmholdt and Oakleigh Gilbert were 13th (2:08.38) and the 200 freestyle relay squad of Johnson, Gilbert, Oakes and Roehmholdt finished 15th (1:57.81).
