Church To Host Halloween Party
Christ First United Methodist Church will host Rainbow the Clown at its Halloween party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the church's Darrah Hall. Church members and friends are invited to attend by reservation by calling the church office at 664-5803 by Friday. There will be games, cider and donuts, and surprises. Prizes will be awarded for costume design.
Gospel Concert Set For Sunday
ELLINGTON - The Ellington Community Church, 5009 Thornton Road, Ellington, will host a gospel concert featuring Maurice Brown and Friends at 3 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will follow the concert. The church is handicapped accessible.
Annual Dinner Set In Randolph
RANDOLPH - The Grace Episcopal Church, located at the corner of North Washington and Center streets, Randolph, will host its annual fall chicken and biscuit dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under. The meal includes beverage and homemade pie. Takeouts will be available. Proceeds will benefit Episcopal Church Women outreach programs.
Legion To Host Halloween Party
LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 Auxiliary is holding a children's Halloween party from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be snacks, games, crafts, tricks and treats. The event is open to all Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 members' children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Zumba Ball Set For Tuesday
A Zumba Monster Ball will be held at the Jamestown YMCA on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Y's Zumba instructors will be joining forces to deliver a one-hour, 30-minute program culminating in a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." The event will include free face painting from 5:45-6:45 p.m., a costume contest, treats and a Zumba workout. Advance registration is required by Monday. SWCS To Hold Board Meetings
The Southwestern Central School District Board of Education will hold special board meetings for executive sessions Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The board will discuss candidates for the superintendent's position.
