Tenth-seeded Jamestown took on seventh-seeded Kenmore West (5-7-2) and the Red Raiders (2-15) kept things close all afternoon as the Blue Devils hung on for a 3-1 victory in Section 6 Class AA prequarterfinal boys soccer on Wednesday.
Kenmore West took a 1-0 lead and that score stood up until Jamestown's Alex Lee-Yaw scored with 7:34 left, assisted by Connor Estrada, to tie the game at 1-1.
But three minutes later, the Blue Devils broke the tie with a goal scored on a corner kick and added another when JHS pulled its goalie late in the contest.
