Britta Johnson recorded her fourth shutout of the season and Megan Sholl scored two goals as No. 13 Southwestern (8-7-2) blanked No. 20 Maryvale (3-13-1), 4-0, in the first round of the Section 6 Class B girls soccer playoffs on Monday.
Johnson made four saves in gaining the shutout while Sholl had her eighth and ninth goals for the Lady Trojans, who now play at No. 4 Wilson (14-1-1) at 3:30 p.m. today in the second round.
Emily Wuebbolt's 10th goal of the year via a penalty kick at 10 minutes gave Southwestern a 1-0 lead for the only goal of the first half.

Sholl scored from Mary Agarwala five minutes into the second half and followed that up with another goal from Ashley Carnes at 14 minutes for a 3-0 margin,
Nicole Cooper completed the scoring from Carlie Bernhardt with two minutes left.
