KENNEDY - The United States Postal Service will hold a meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Kennedy United Methodist Church concerning the Kennedy Post Office.
Community input from the meeting will help determine future postal service in the town.
As part of the POST Plan to review certain offices, a survey was recently mailed to a sampling of residents served by the Kennedy Post Office. Results of the survey will be shared at the meeting. Recommendations include to cut the number of weekday window service hours to six and maintain the Saturday window service hours and current accessibility to post office boxes. The survey also offered different possibilities for closing the office and providing alternative services. Survey participants were asked to provide comments about the Kennedy post office as well.
