JPD Searching For Hit-And-Run Suspect

October 20, 2012
The Post-Journal

Jamestown Police Department officials are seeking the person responsible for a hit-and-run accident Thursday evening on East Second Street.

Police say a 24-year-old Jamestown woman was taking her 2-year-old son out of the back of her car at 1106 E. Second St. near Hopkins Avenue at 8:50 p.m. when, according to a witness, a 1996 to 2001 dark green Dodge Ram pickup truck with an empty ladder rack on the top sideswiped the car. The truck's mirror allegedly hit the woman in the back while the truck's front passenger-side bumper hit the woman's driver's side doors.

The witness said the truck was traveling east on East Second Street toward Falconer and had factory decals on the side of the truck.

Police recovered broken pieces from the truck and say it probably has damage to its passenger-side front.
